ACTIVITIES: Today's activities opened with the Lourdes at 08:30. This was followed by the Provincial's presentation of the summarized method of addressing all the issues of the 28th GENERAL CHAPTER 2016 Synthesis of the REPORTS of the PROVINCES - DOCUMENT II. The main dimensions or DIVISIONS OF THE THEMES are:

1. DIMENSION ONE: OUR IDENTITY
2. DIMENSION TWO: OUR MISSION
3. DIMENSION THREE: HUMAN RESOURCES
4. DIMENSION FOUR: FINANCES AND MATERIAL RESOURCES
5. DIMENSION FIVE: GOVERNANCE AND LEADERSHIP

One  of the participants brought in the idea of the "Cross". On the cross, Christ may seem a failure. But with regard to Easter, it was in the weakness that Christ showed us the triumph of the Cross. Participants as sharing in the suffering and triumph of Christ. The Church is to take both dimensions not only on triumphant, positivity only. As a Society, is to be considerate of the weak as much, and not only place emphasis on triumphant attitude or only values those confreres with great contribution after all we all a family.

AFTERNOON: All members met in their respective groups in order to formulate an AFFIRMATIVE TOPIC with respect to the FIVE DIMENSIONS of our life as Missionaries of Africa:

1. HUMAN RESOURCES: "In the service of the Kingdom of God, we are invited to empower our confreres and candidates to be life-givers and to be attentive to elderly confreres, the sick and the broken".

2. FINANCES AND MATERIAL RESSOURCES: "Our resources at the service of the Kingdom of God".

3. MISSION: "Rooted in Christ, as heirs of Lavigerie, we are called and sent to proclaim the mission of Christ to the African world today".

4. GOVERNANANCE AND LEADERSHIP: "Christ centered governance and leadership responsive to the signs of the times".

5. IDENTITY: "Rooted in Christ in the Spirit of our Founder, we live in intercultural communities at the service of the African World".

Our common IDENTITY was arrived at after our deliberations together. We reminded ourselves that all these are guiding principles for our discussions to come.

The overall AFFIRMATIVE TOPIC:

"UNITED IN THE MISSION OF CHRIST AT THE SERVICE OF THE AFRICAN WORLD"

The day ended withe the Chapter Prayer at exactly 17:15.
