DIMENSIONS OF OUR IDENTITY AND OUR BLESSINGS

The day opened with a prayer after which we proceeded on the dimension of our IDENTITY.

The day's Session focused on the dimensions and events in the last six year (2010-2016), by focusing on what worked and allowed us to grow and develop while respecting the values of our experiences.

We shared about the most significant fruits of our mission in the Society, Sector for which we are happy.

We focused on what makes us happy and enthusiastic as missionary disciples of Jesus and Lavigerie today while seeing how we see that in relationship with God, with our brothers and sisters, and with the African world.

Projecting how we see our Society in the next six years, participants used different images from nature in which they portrayed the future AFFIRMATIVELY with the sense of OPTIMISM.  The Society will grow in number with many young confrere in their INTERCULTURAL diversity

The Afternoon Session opened with the presentation of the Historical Strengths of our Society by Fr. Gerard Chabanon and  Fr. Charles Obanya respectively. The Afternoon Sessions where took also the dimension of group discussions/sharing about significant events in the last six years with regard to mission, human resources, governance and leadership, and finances and material resources. And without modest on what is that we value most about ourselves, work and the Missionaries of Africa. The Groups discussed the core values that give life to us as Missionaries of Africa.

The day ended with a prayer in readiness for the Holy Mass at 18:00.
